These Terms of Use contain the terms and conditions applicable to your participation in our focus
group research.

1. Acceptance of Terms & Conditions
Your agreement to participate constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions. In addition,
only those participants who expressly agree to these terms and conditions will be permitted to
participate in our focus groups, and to receive any agreed financial incentive for participating.

2. Data Protection & Privacy
By agreeing to participate in our focus group, you represent that you agree with the terms and
conditions and with our Data Protection and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any of these
terms or conditions or in our Data Protection and Privacy Policy, please do not register your interest to
participate in our focus group. Please also note that for recording and research purposes, there may
be a professional photographer, note taker or video production taking place during the focus group

3. Registration & Selection
(a) In order to register your interest to attend a focus group, you must provide all required
information, which will include certain personal information (e.g. name, email address, contact
number). You will also be asked to answer a series of profile-building questions that will help
us determine if you are eligible to participate in our focus group.
(b) A valid application is required to be eligible to participate in any focus group. We will review
the information you provide upon registration to select participants who meet our criteria
and/or the profile required for the specific research project. You acknowledge and agree that
registering your interest to attend a focus group does not guarantee that you will qualify
and/or be selected for any focus group.
(c) If you do not meet the criteria and/or profile for the specific project, you will not be selected to
participate and you will be informed accordingly. We shall then have no obligation to provide
you with any further opportunity to participate in any further focus group.
(d) On completion of an online application form we will endeavour to keep all information
provided by you strictly confidential and secure, in an effort to prevent the unauthorised use of
personal information. If you have not already done so, you should review our Data Protection
and Privacy Policy.
(e) Only one application per person will be permitted and any duplicate applications will be
disregarded. If you register your interest in the name of a private limited company, your
participation (if selected), will be on the basis that the company will be represented by a single
nominated person whose details will be provided to BHIB Ltd prior to relevant focus group
session. Our focus groups will require you to make yourself available to attend your allocated
session in person. Your participation will depend on the requirements and objectives of the
focus group.
(f) Once you have completed an application form, and subject to you fulfilling our qualification
criteria, you will receive an e-mail confirming that we have received your application for
consideration, and that we have registered your wish to participate in research with us.

4. Correction & Deletion of Personal Information
If you wish to update, correct or delete your information from our database, then you can do so by
emailing us at BHIB will take prompt action to ensure your request is
dealt with and the necessary changes are made as quickly as possible.

of our focus group, and to hold any confidential information in strict confidence. You further agree to
refrain from directly or indirectly disclosing confidential information to any third party, and to refrain
from using confidential information for any purpose. The obligation to maintain the confidentiality of
information shall survive termination of this agreement and continue for so long as the confidential
information remains confidential. All copyright material produced and distributed by BHIB Ltd is
expressly reserved and any unauthorised duplication, publication or distribution is prohibited.

6. Compensation
If you are selected for participation and on condition that you attend a focus group session, we shall
pay you a fee of £50.00 (inclusive of VAT, if applicable) for attending and for your participation in a
focus group which will be paid by bank transfer direct into your bank account within 7 days after

You acknowledge that we shall not be obliged to pay you and you will not receive compensation if you
fail to attend in our focus group. Payment will be based on satisfactory participation and you
acknowledge and understand that you will be responsible for the payment of any taxes that may be
due as a result of a payment being made by us to you. All participants will be required to complete
and submit a Claim Form in order to qualify for payment of any compensation. Please note travel
costs and any other associated costs of attending the focus group will not be compensated and will
be your sole responsibility. Where a focus group event is cancelled by us for any reason we will
