Summer Update #2 – Summer Sun & Outdoor Workers
The longer, hopefully sunnier days that we see in the summer, can also bring dangerous levels
of ultraviolet radiation from the sun – the main cause of skin cancer.
People who work inside only get 10–20 per cent of outdoor workers’ annual exposure to the sun’s rays*. 5 people every day are diagnosed with skin cancer caused by working in the sun & up to 60 people a year die from skin cancer contracted after working outside without protecting themselves properly.
All of this is easy to avoid and you can easily protect your employees.
Read more about precautions for outdoor workers, or use the form below to get in touch with us – we’d be happy to hear from you!
